Ken and Alicia have sold over $175 Million in real estate over the last 9 years and have helped clients in over 320 transactions. They have participated in many luxury home transactions. They also sell condominiums, vacant land, and converted manufactured homes. Regardless of the value of the home, Ken and Alicia offer each client the same high level of service and commitment.           

Prior to joining Ferrari-Lund Real Estate, Ken enjoyed a successful career as an attorney at one of Nevada’s oldest law firms. Ken represented clients of all types and sizes, including businesses ranging from large corporations to small family-owned companies, a professional sports league, nationally renowned professionals, and hard-working Americans from all walks of life. Many of Ken's cases involved complex real estate issues. Ken was entrusted by clients not only to litigate cases in trial court, but also to argue cases in front of the prestigious Nevada Supreme Court and United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Ken developed a reputation for meticulous preparation, a tireless work ethic, creativity, outstanding oral and written advocacy, and scrupulous honesty. Ken was one of the youngest attorneys in his firm’s long history to be awarded an AV® Preeminent rating by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest ranking given, indicating the highest ethical standards and the highest level of professional excellence. Ken was also one of the youngest attorneys at his firm to be elected a shareholder.

Ken's prior experience as a successful attorney serves his real estate clients well. Ken actively assists Sierra Nevada REALTORS® in writing and revising the contracts Realtors® in western Nevada use in every transaction. He is has been an invited lecturer in courses for attorneys and real estate professionals in real estate transactions, ethics, and legal writing. Few understand the real estate documents you will be using better than Ken.

Moreover, a real estate transaction is often the biggest transaction in which a person will participate during his or her life. Ken is no stranger to high stakes negotiation. Ken has participated in countless negotiations in both real estate and litigation, often with seven or eight figures on the line, and obtained good results for his clients. Ken's real estate clients can count on him to keep confidences, understand the intricacies of the contract, work zealously and fairly on their behalf, and handle their transaction with the highest degree of competence and care.

Alicia enjoyed a successful career in real estate and marketing before dedicating her time to raising Alicia and Ken’s three children. Alicia worked with a successful real estate team in Salt Lake City, Utah. She also served as marketing director for a local sleep center. Alicia tripled the center’s business, all while carrying a full course load at the University of Utah.

Alicia has also held numerous leadership positions in community organizations, in her church, and in her children's schools. Ask anybody who has worked with Alicia in these capacities and they will attest to her hard work, her extraordinary level of organization, her fearless persistence, and her commitment to quality work product. 

 

Ken and Alicia’s educational backgrounds have given them substantial insight into the many government and market factors which affect real estate values. Alicia graduated from the University of Utah in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. Ken graduated from Brigham Young University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Urban Planning and Resource Management. Ken’s undergraduate research focused on urban growth and economic development in the Intermountain West. Ken also served as a consultant for rural communities in developing zoning and subdivision ordinances in response to anticipated future growth.

Ken and Alicia know northern Nevada well. Ken is a fourth-generation Nevadan and a proud native of the Reno/Sparks area. He has lived in both Reno and Sparks and loves both cities. He graduated from Galena High School in 1996 and has lived in northern Nevada for more than 25 years. His father and professional mentor, Rick Lund, co-founded Ferrari-Lund Real Estate in 1988 and grew it into one of Reno’s largest real-estate brokerages. Ken and Alicia know that Reno-Sparks is an outstanding place to build a business, raise a family, and enjoy a good life. They appreciate the abundant recreation and scenery the area has to offer.

When they are not serving clients, Ken and Alicia enjoy being outdoors and on the road with their three children. Alicia is an avid hiker, gardener, and consumer of good literature. Ken is an ardent landscape and travel photographer. His photographs have been featured in hundreds of online publications and productions, including the Los Angeles Times, CNN, Huffington Post, and A&E Biography. He is quite proud of his publicly available 100,000+ image collection (login required to view all of them). Ken has visited all 50 states (and, more specifically, 38 percent of the 3,142 counties in the United States, and yes, he does keep track). Ken and Alicia have also visited 54 out of 63 national parks in the United States. Ken and Alicia love to hike.

Ken and Alicia also find great value in their involvement with their church, school, and community. They are active Partners in Education with Brown Elementary School. In 2018, Ken was one of two primary authors of the case used by more than 45 state champion schools at the prestigious 2018 National High School Mock Trial Championship in Reno, Nevada and was recognized as a 2018 State Bar of Nevada Volunteer of the Year. Ken serves on the Board of Directors for the BYU Alumni Association as the Northern California Chapter Director.
