Enjoying the Outdoors Near Reno-Sparks and in the Sierra Nevada

Ken and Alicia love spending time in the outdoors with their three children. The Reno-Sparks area is one of the best places in the country for an outdoor enthusiast. With the Sierra Nevada Range and world-renowned Lake Tahoe at Reno's doorstep, there are more opportunities for outdoor recreation near Reno than a reasonably active person could enjoy in a lifetime. In addition to the Sierra Nevada, the mountain ranges of the Great Basin should not be overlooked, as they offer outstanding opportunities for scenery, wildlife, solitude, and a little bit of history.
